Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Onsite)

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000

NOW CFO is hiring a Controller on behalf of a nonprofit, faith-based school in Santa Rosa, CA. This is a senior-level accounting and finance role supporting a mission-driven organization with a collaborative, kindness-led culture.

What You’ll Do

• Own the monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit process
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections
• Provide financial analysis and FP&A support to leadership
• Partner with the Financial Committee on reporting and planning
• Support tuition revenue, annual tuition, and tuition assistance analysis
• Ensure strong controls, accuracy, and on-time deliverables
• Oversee and lead the Finance Department, providing strategic direction, and accountability for all finance personnel
• Oversee collaboration with Department Budget Managers on budget formulation and ensure regular reporting to track performance against targets

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience
• Proven leadership experience and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and financial acumen
• Comfortable working in a faith-based school environment
• Thoughtful, confident communicator who leads with kindness

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• CPA and/or MBA
