Position Overview

NOW CFO is assisting a growing nonprofit organization in seeking a detail-oriented and values-aligned Accounts Payable Specialist to join its in-office finance team. This part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week) is ideal for someone looking to contribute to a mission-driven environment, with potential to expand into a full-time position within 12 months. The AP Specialist will play a key role in managing accounts payable functions and supporting broader financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute core Accounts Payable functions using Sage Intacct ERP
• Collaborate with investment portfolio staff and finance team members
• Support budgeting, banking, and wire transfer processes
• Assist with internal controls and regulatory compliance
• Contribute to audit preparation and financial policy drafting
• Maintain accurate records and uphold financial integrity

Qualifications

Requirements

• Experience with Sage Intacct AP module
• 2-3 years of fund accounting experience (flexible depending on overall fit)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Active membership in a Christian church
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Must be aligned with the organization’s faith-based mission.

• Tentative schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays (subject to adjustment)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $25–$30/hour, based on experience
• Part-time (15 hours/week), with potential to grow into full-time within one year
• No formal benefits package
